1 in 4 of us will suffer from some form of mental illness in some point in our lives.

All proceeds will go to the Braintree Art Group and help people who suffer with mental illness.

Although we are called an art group we actively campaign to raise awareness & hopefully try to stop the stigma associated with mental illness.

The money we raise will go towards finding new premises for the art group due to expanding numbers.

It will also enable us to host annual events as the R&T Festival which also benefits local bands.

Country Music that Rocks

Hi

I’m sitting here listening to recordings of my past shows, and the music is definitely better than Bob Harris” – but I couldn’t compete with Whispering BH as a presenter. I understand he is coming back with the “Whistle Test” – great!

I’m going through a Gram Parsons period  – Sweetheart of the Rodeo (The Byrds),  The Gilded Palace of Sin (The Flying Burrito Brothers), G/Grievous Angel (Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris.  If you don’t know about him, or only heard about him on Kinda Country, search Gram Parsons on U-Tube. There are some very good songs and interviews. Then go to Ebay and buy the records. They only cost about £5 at the moment.

Coming shortly on Kinda Country is Jerry Reed.

Stay tuned, Friday at 12.00

Hi listeners,
Just stopping by with details of my Breakfast Show, starting here on Saint FM, in 30 minutes!
If you want to know what’s on in the Maldon and Burnham area over the next couple of days it’s definitely the place to be, I’ll be running through our diary at 25 past 8 and at half past 9.
John Whittingdale (the local MP and Saint FM’s man at Westminster) will be talking to me at about 8 45, about his activities over the previous week and his plans for the next and of course, I’ll have a Topical Tune story:

http://web.orange.co.uk/article/quirkies/Sooty_puts_Paul_Daniels_in_hospital

If you have a song suggestion for this, please let me know what it is and if I like it, I may well give it a spin just before the end of the show.
You can either call me on 01621 785 689, email us:

studio@saintfm.org.uk

You can text through to 84555 (it well set you back a further 25 P than your network rate and you’ll need to start your message with the word ‘Saint’ then a space), or you can share your ideas with me on my blog!
I want your requests in general too, unrelated to the Topical Tune. If you want to hear something the same contact details apply.
Well best go for the time being, will be on soon though, so talk then…

Hello people,
Hope you enjoyed your weekend and you’re ready for another Breakfast Show with me Ben Kearns, starting at half 7 this morning, write here on Saint.
On the show today, I’ll have Gordon from Maldon in during the first half hour talking about what he’s been up too, at 25 past 8 and half 9 I’ll look at our Saint FM diary, giving you details as to what’s on in the Maldon and Burnham area over the next couple of days, we’ll do Dead Or Alive (our studio quiz) at about quarter to 9ish and throughout the show, I’d like your Topical Tune suggestions:

http://web.orange.co.uk/article/quirkies/Dad-of-two_has_hysterectomy

So if you have a song idea that connects with this story, all you have to do is let me know what it is and I’ll play one of them just before the end of the programme.
Either call us at the Saint Peters High School studios on 01621 785 689,
Send an email:

studio@saintfm.org.uk

text me on 84555 (it will set you back 25 P though, plus your standard network rate), or you can do it the easy way and leave your ideas on this blog!
I also want to hear from you if you have a request not related to the Topical Tune, you can get in touch using the contact details listed above.
Better go now I think, I’ll see you in half an hour, when the show starts!
