Hello guys,
Ben here from the Breakfast show, just stopping by to tell you what’s on the show today, from half 7 till 10.
Gordon from Maldon will be in during the first half hour, to chat about what’s been happening in his life during the past week.
At 25 past 8 and at half 9 I’ll take a look at what’s happening in the Maldon and Burnham area over the next 2 days.
We’ll have Dead Or Alive (our weekly studio quiz) at a quarter to 9 this morning-remember it’s just for a laugh.
After 9 O’clock I’ve got the Jeff Short Sweepstake-what time will Jeff arrive at Saint FM?
Finally, throughout the show, you can choose a Topical Tune:

http://web.orange.co.uk/article/quirkies/Offenders_false_leg_tagged

So have a read of the story and tell me if you have any Topical Tune suggestions relating to it, we’ll play one of them just before the end of the programme.
Either call me on 01621 785 689, email:

studio@saintfm.org.uk

text in (to 84555, texts are gonna set you back 25 P plus your standard network rate and you’ll need to put the word ‘saint’ followed by a space), or leave your suggestions on this blog.
Of course even if you have a general request unrelated to the Topical Tune, I still want to play it-and I’ll do so, as long as I have your request.
Well I think that’s all for now, talk to you in 30 minutes!

Next Friday’s show on Friday 2nd September will be my last for a few weeks. I’m having a month off, and I am handing over to Howard Watling who will entertain you with his Kinda Country.

I have three new tracks for Friday – Honk if You Honky Tonk by George Strait, Wild Horses by Ivo Matos & Neal McCarthy. and Boot Scootin’ Boogie by Brooks & Dunn.

Other tracks include Everybody’s Hustling and Hang Me Dang Me from Heads, Hands and Feet, Big Train From Memphis from John Fogerty, Darby’s Castle from Kris Kristofferson, and the humor0us song Three-Legged Man by Steve Goodman. I am also playing The Auctioneer again as a number of our younger listeners had never heard it before I played it two weeks ago, plus others.

I hope you are still enjoying My Kinda Country, and I am looking forward to playing more of my music throughout the autumn (where did summer go?)

Keep tuned and keep rockin’,

Hugh

Hey everyone,
Ben here from Breakfast, just telling you what’s on the breakfast show this morning, from half 7 till 10, on Saint FM 94.7.
I’ll be checking out the latest events in Maldon and Burnham at 25 past 8 and half 9, so listen up if you fancy going to a public event.
John Whittingdale (MP for Maldon and Saint FM’s man at Westminster) is on holiday this week, so we won’t be having our usual weekly chat with him this morning. There will be a chance to hear a classic conversation from a previous show.
I’ve got great music during the show of course, which you can influence. First of all I’ve got a Topical Tune subject:

http://web.orange.co.uk/article/quirkies/Priest_puts_up_bouncy_church

If you’re a regular you already know what I want-your song ideas. If I like your suggestion I might play it just before the end of the show. You can call with your potential tracks on 01621 785 689,
Email:

studio@saintfm.org.uk

send a text through to 84555 (remember it will cost you 25 P to do so, plus your regular network rate),
finally you don’t have to go anywhere to let me know your suggestions-just leave them on this blog!
I wanna here from you even if you have a tune in mind not related to the subject-any general requests I’ll happily play as long as I can get hold of them, the same contact details apply.
Well I’ve got to go and get on with last minute plans for this morning’s show-chat in 30 minutes…
